Junior Einsteins is a STEM / STEAM company so we provide all aspects of science to children including but not limited to flight, engineering, classification of life, Zoology, Maths, Chemistry, Astronomy, Ecology, Global environments, botany, microbiology ,anatomy, geology, oceanography, meteorology , plate tectonics, palaeontology ...... We pride ourselves of being inclusive of all the sciences. We run in a school for a year ( sometimes even more !) without repeating a single topic. We are an innovative initiative passionate about bringing a love of science and learning to primary school aged children. We provide after school clubs, school science shows & workshops, science parties & science camps Our Science camps are very hands-on and children get to make and take home something most days including their own SLIME, FOSSILS, MODEL GLIDERS, RAINBOW GLASSES and MORE! They wear Lab coats and goggles! LOTS of OUTDOOR Fun with Bug Hunts, Rocket Races, Dinosaur Digs! SCIENCE CAMP FUN: Slime making (Long-chain polymerisation, Newtonian & Non-Newtonian fluids) Smoke cannons (Force, Vectors) Model planes (the principals of flight) & rockets Van Der Graff generator & plasma ball madness! (electricity) Coke & Mentos Geyser (force and nucleation) bridge building ( engineering) Magnets & make your own compass Lava lamps Forensic crime scene, fingerprinting and DNA Sunscreen /UV /glow in the dark science Elephant Toothpaste (Hydrogen peroxide, Potassium Iodide chemical reaction) Illusions ( How the eye tricks the brain) and much much more........ Every experiment is a different experience. Some children are more interested in the biology sessions, some the chemistry. Everyone loves slime and fossils ! But our aim is to give children the grammar of the language of science at a young age. Our inclusive , hands-on approach is unique . We are not a science class, the children make and do their own experiments We do supply lab coats and goggles when appropriate but not every session is a chemistry session and they are usually used for the chemistry based experiments. A mantra we repeat; Science is not only chemistry! We do ' colouring in ' especially when teaching children about the spectrum of light and they make their Newtons disc. We also use it in other sessions such as chromatography. Children also make their own cartoon strips when then learn about illusions and the eye brain connection. It is all about the experience. Children are learning more than they realise. These days student doctors have less dexterity than the last generation.Let children colour in and make and do. They are building skills that seem small small to you now but vital in the long run. Challenges are an important part of team work, confidence building and learning important communication skills. We teach children that mistakes are not bad. Some of the best scientific inventions have come from a scientist making a 'mistake'! Here at Junior Einsteins we teach children how to think not what to think. Our prices reflect the overall experience the child has throughout the term. Our science instructors are all trained , Garda vetted and insured and every science club session risk assessed. We will bring in fantastic Van Der Graaf generators and other pieces of fun, but expensive kit . Please do not try to break down science experiences into € per child per hour. Sometimes inspiration can be priceless to us if a child chooses to study science at secondary and third level. What to bring: Old clothes – lab coats are provided however science can be dirty work. Packed lunch, snack and drink Rain gear Sun hat and sunscreen
